- What Red Cardinal is
- An independent research publication covering markets, housing, AI, defense, healthcare, frontier technology and human behaviour. We explain why things happen and how systems connect, rather than reporting what happened.
- Where to begin
- The archive holds everything we've published. The concepts pages explain the recurring ideas behind the research, and they're free.
- There is no password
- We email you a one-time sign-in link. It expires in an hour and signs you in on that device.
- The link didn't arrive
- Check spam first. If it still hasn't arrived, request another — older links stop working once a new one is issued.
- Changing your email
- Contact support. We move the account rather than asking you to start again.
- What membership adds
- Unlimited company dossiers, Connected Systems, the premium archive, and premium reports.
- Plans
- Founding at $99/year, monthly at $19, annual at $149. Founding is limited and holds its rate while the membership stays active.
- Managing billing
- Sign in, open your account, and choose Manage billing. That opens Stripe's portal where you can change plan, update a card, or cancel.
- Cancelling
- Cancel any time. Access continues to the end of the period you've paid for. See the cancellation policy.
- What a dossier contains
- A company's position: what it does, how it makes money, why we track it, our rating and thesis health, competitive position, the bull and bear cases, and the sources.
- What's free
- The snapshot — what it does, how it makes money, why we track it, and the simple thesis. That half is open to everyone.
- How they work
- Create a free account and you may open three company dossiers in full. You choose which three, from any company in the RC 100.
- Do they expire?
- No. Once you've opened a dossier it stays available on your account.
- Can you change your mind?
- Not currently — an unlock is permanent, so choose companies you actually care about. Membership removes the limit entirely.
- What it is
- The map underneath the research: the recurring concepts, how they connect, which companies each one is load-bearing in, and research paths through them.
- What's free
- Every concept's definition, why it matters, the common mistake, where it breaks, and examples. Membership adds the connection map, dossier routing and research paths.
- Saving
- Use the save control at the foot of any article. Saved items appear in your account and persist across devices.
- Removing
- Use the same control again.
- What they do
- Mortgage, rental yield and debt payoff calculators. Free, no account needed.
- Are they advice?
- No. They do arithmetic on numbers you enter. See the investment disclaimer.
- What we collect
- As little as possible. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics. See the privacy policy.
- Payment details
- Handled entirely by Stripe. Card details never reach our servers.
- Something is broken
- Use the contact form and choose Technical problem. Include the page URL — it's the single most useful thing you can tell us.
- Accessibility
- Accessibility problems are treated as defects. See the accessibility statement.
